The Getting Things Done® (GTD®) methodology was developed 30 years ago by New York Times bestselling author David Allen. The course teaches skills to manage the constant flow of requests, tasks, and interruptions people face at all levels of the organisation.
The Level 1 Getting Things Done (GTD) training helps improve productivity by teaching the skills to manage the constant flow of requests, tasks, and interruptions people face at all levels of an organisation.
By learning how to capture, clarify, and organise incoming requests, people are more likely to make strategic decisions about where to invest their time and energy, be efficient at work, focus on the right priorities, and prevent critical projects from slipping. They are less likely to experience stress and burnout – more likely to experience efficiency and productivity.
Research shows that when just one or two team members make even small fumbles (miss deadlines, work on the wrong priorities, or forget tasks), team productivity is cut by an average of 24%.
On the other hand, teams that have a shared process for managing workflow foster trust, engagement, and efficient execution.
Based on the iconic bestseller by David Allen, the skills taught in Getting Things Done® have been shown to relieve cognitive load, allow for increased focus, even result in optimal experience and peak performance.
Key skills you will learn from the Training:
The Mastering Workflow Series is a productivity training program designed to improve both
individual and organisational results through implementation of the Getting Things Done®
(GTD) methodology, which is based on the iconic New York Times bestseller by David Allen.
The GTD training program is offered in three progressive levels. Level 1 provides all the basic
skills and processes that will help the average person manage their workflows significantly
better. GTD Levels 2 and 3 provide more intense coaching to help those who either want more
assistance embedding the skills or have very complex task management requirements.
The Fundamentals course builds the foundation for learners to get their workflow under control – at work, at home, and in everything they do.
The course dives deeper into the GTD models for defining and planning projects and managing priorities.
This course ties together the tactical models, with the more strategic models for gaining a higher level of GTD skills.
